Arrival in Sri Lanka. You will be met by agents and transferred to Dambulla. (Travel time approximately: 05 hours) Access the road * Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Application. An orphanage was established in 1975 for abandoned and injured elephants in Pinnawala, 55 miles from Colombo, on the Thin, Colombo-Kandy road. The number of elephants has now exceeded 65.
