Day 1: Kiliamjaro Airport to Karatu Village
Day 2: Karatu to Ndutu Serengeti
Activities: Game drive.
Program: After breakfast leave Karatu drive to Ndutu for game viewing with packed lunch. We have game drive en-route through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From December to March the Great Migration congregates around Lake Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. When it reaches the area the herd splits up and spreads out leaving wildebeest herds as far as the eye can see.
Day 3: Ndutu Serengeti
Program: After breakfast we spend the full day on game drive. We concentrate our attention on the Great Migration and predators, we move in Ndutu area between Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Picnic lunch is recommended so that we have more time for the game viewing.
Day 4: Serengeti Ntional Park
Program: After breakfast we move into Serengeti National Park for a full day game viewing. You will enjoy the day exploring new areas in this huge park full of wildlife. Serengeti, over 6,000 square miles of sprawling, unspoiled landscape is quite a sight. Add to that an extraordinary population of resident and migratory animals in a constant bid for survival, and you understand why this is often called, "the world as it was in the beginning." Search for leopard and lion. Watch in awe as zebra, wildebeest and elephant simply appear from amidst the woodlands and plains.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After a pleasant picnic lunch, the group will continue game drive eastwards to visit another spectacular setting of Tanzania's wildlife, which is the famous Ngorongoro Crater.
The group will enjoy a tasty and hot dinner, and spend an overnight stay at the Simba campsite A. On the next day, the wonders of the crater is waiting for you. Also, there is an optional value added service which is to visit the Maasai cultural espying in the bush villages. Diner and Overnight at Ngorongor Wildlife Lodge.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater back to Karatu
Program: After early morning breakfast (or with breakfast boxes) descend down Ngorongoro crater for game viewing with packed lunch. The park is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called 'Africa's Eden' and the '8th Natural Wonder of the World', a visit to the crater is a main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist.
Day 7: Karatu to Tarangire National park back to Arusha
In this tour, we will cover the most popular destinations in Tanzania – Ndutu, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. The tour starts and ends at Arusha. With our experienced driver guides, it will be a trip of a lifetime! According to the last few year’s pattern, the possibility of sighting the migration is in the Ndutu region from the last week of December to March. Hence, this tour is recommended for the tour date between the last week of December and April.
