Tour Highlights

Day 1: Kiliamjaro Airport to Karatu Village

We will take from Kilimanjaro airport on arrival and take you to Karatu village Kilimanjaro airport – Karatu 3-4 h transfer Program: Your guide is waiting for you at Kilimanjaro airport. You proceed to Karatu. If you have time we can stop and visit local markets on the road and Karatu village. Otherwise you can relax at the lodge.

Day 2: Karatu to Ndutu Serengeti

Transfer Karatu – Ndutu about 3 hours
Activities: Game drive.
Program: After breakfast leave Karatu drive to Ndutu for game viewing with packed lunch. We have game drive en-route through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From December to March the Great Migration congregates around Lake Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. When it reaches the area the herd splits up and spreads out leaving wildebeest herds as far as the eye can see.

Day 3: Ndutu Serengeti

Activities: Game drive.
Program: After breakfast we spend the full day on game drive. We concentrate our attention on the Great Migration and predators, we move in Ndutu area between Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Picnic lunch is recommended so that we have more time for the game viewing.

Day 4: Serengeti Ntional Park

Activities: Game drive.
Program: After breakfast we move into Serengeti National Park for a full day game viewing. You will enjoy the day exploring new areas in this huge park full of wildlife. Serengeti, over 6,000 square miles of sprawling, unspoiled landscape is quite a sight. Add to that an extraordinary population of resident and migratory animals in a constant bid for survival, and you understand why this is often called, "the world as it was in the beginning." Search for leopard and lion. Watch in awe as zebra, wildebeest and elephant simply appear from amidst the woodlands and plains.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

During early morning, the exciting sounds of Africa will rouse you from your sleep. The group will enjoy a picnic breakfast, and start the day with an early morning game drive. The driver-guide will bring you to spot some of the many species at Serengeti, and teach you about fascinating habits and habitats of the species.
After a pleasant picnic lunch, the group will continue game drive eastwards to visit another spectacular setting of Tanzania's wildlife, which is the famous Ngorongoro Crater.
The group will enjoy a tasty and hot dinner, and spend an overnight stay at the Simba campsite A. On the next day, the wonders of the crater is waiting for you. Also, there is an optional value added service which is to visit the Maasai cultural espying in the bush villages. Diner and Overnight at Ngorongor Wildlife Lodge.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater back to Karatu

Activities: Game drive.
Program: After early morning breakfast (or with breakfast boxes) descend down Ngorongoro crater for game viewing with packed lunch. The park is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals. The Ngorongoro Crater is often called 'Africa's Eden' and the '8th Natural Wonder of the World', a visit to the crater is a main drawcard for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist.

Day 7: Karatu to Tarangire National park back to Arusha

Tarangire National Park includes Tarangire River and low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. You will enjoy your morning game watching through the natural vegetation consists mainly of Acacia woodland, giant African Baobab trees, and huge swamp areas. There, you will be able to see zebras, giraffes, impalas, buffalos, elephants, hartebeests, warthogs, harsh lions, and birds when in season. Afternoon will be spent by stirring the river banks to spy how wildlife behaves while drinking - who comes first, who comes last, and who don't drink at all, and how predators (lioness, cheetahs, hunt thirty angulates (impalas, zebras, wildebeests) on the river. The Tarangire National Park is home to three rare species of animals, the greater kudu, the fringed-eared oryx, and the ashy starlings. In the Evening we will back to Arusha for relax after safari in a Luxury Lodge Near to Kilimanjaro airport with super amazing Nature and on next day we will pass to local coffee factory.

Day 8: Kilimanjaro airport

After breakfast, you will have great welfare and airport transfers or you may tell Fig Tree Tours & Travel to help you add more nights at the hotel and depart in the coming dates.

 

Tour Introduction

In this tour, we will cover the most popular destinations in Tanzania – Ndutu, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. The tour starts and ends at Arusha. With our experienced driver guides, it will be a trip of a lifetime! According to the last few year’s pattern, the possibility of sighting the migration is in the Ndutu region from the last week of December to March. Hence, this tour is recommended for the tour date between the last week of December and April.
