Tour Introduction

Delve deeper into the ancient palaces and sacred temples of Nepal! Explore the grand temples, unique histories and culture and learn about Hinduism and Buddhism during this exciting trip to Muktinath. This fascinating trip combines visiting the most famous sites Pashupatinath temple, Manakamana temple, Manakamana temple along with many other religious sites during sightseeing in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Elevating 3710meter, Muktinath temple is located at the base of Throng la Pass, almighty Himalayan Kingdom Mustang and is dedicated to Lord Bishnu. According to priests, the place is famous for Mukti Kshetra which means the "place of liberation or moksha".  Take a bath under the icy cold water flowing from 108 water sprouts which is believed to get salvation. Explore the pagoda-style temple of Lord Vishnu in Muktinath, Lord shiva in Pashupatinath, Hindu goddess Bhagwati in Manakamana and send a prayer where you wish. Over the course of 8 days, not only you will be discovering the sacred temples of Hindus and Buddhists, Muktinath, Pashupatinath and Manakamana but also get an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscape, amazing sights of Annapurna ranges as well Dhaulagiri ranges, majestic waterfalls, locals culture and lifestyle.

ITINERARY

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by one of the company representative and transfer to the hotel. In the evening, there will be short briefing about the program itinerary. Stay overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

The day starts as you head to do the sightseeing tour around the Kathmandu valley. Mainly the tour focuses to visit Pashupatinath for the excursion. Located on the bank of Bagmati River, Pashupatinath is the oldest and sacred Hindu temple of Nepal. Holding a great history behind its discovery this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the god of destroyer and re-creator. Look at medieval art and architecture in different temples that pageant the fine details of woods and metal laceration which is so amazing. The elegant golden pagoda roof and silver door encompass the main Shivalinga devoted to various idols in the complex. Witness how the devotees offering their praying to lord Shiva. Observe the cremation rituals at the river bank before you make your way to Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site, Swayambunath commonly known as Monkey temple, this temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha and has a unique dome shaped structure with compassionate eyes of Buddha watching over the city. The prayer flags waving all over the area welcomes you in a very pleasant way. Kathmandu Durbar square was the dwelling set of Rana and Malla king during their reign. This palace complex has many cultural sites in its inner as well as outer courtyard. Some of the main sites include Kumari ghar, Taleju Bhawani temple, Kal Bhairav statue and Hanuman Dhoka. Boudhhanath, popularly known as \"Little Tibet\" of Nepal, it is another important Buddhist site with largest and unique whitewashed dome. Later on head to Budhanikantha, hindu open air temple dedicated to the Lord Vishnu, situated below the Shivapuri Hill at the northern end of Kathmandu valley. Today, you will be driving to the most beautiful and the second largest city Pokhara. The drive is about 6-7 hours; along the way enjoy the scenery of green hills, small villages, Nepalese settlements, terraced fields and many more. Enroute, you will get to visit the Manakamana temple by a cable car ride it will be the amazing experience with the complete views of greenery. Manakamana Temple is a sacred pilgrimage site of Hindu Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Parvati situated at the top hill 1300m to the west of Kathmandu. It is believed that Goddess Bhagwati rewards those who make pilgrimage to her shine by granting their wish and especially popular with Newari newlyweds who prays for sons. Pray your wish to Goddess Bhagwati to be fulfilled in the upcoming. Then, head back by a cable car to the starting point and take a ride again to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara Hotel

Leave the beautiful city Pokhara behind and starts the amazing journey to Jomsom in the exciting jeep drive. The drive follows the Kaligandaki River (the world\'s deepest gorge) and passes through the traditional Gurung, Magar and Thakali villages of Tatopani, Ghasa and Kalapani. Enjoy the close views of waterfall together with the amazing views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Cross the villages like Kalopani and Lete then the drive takes you to the beautiful village Jomsom. Overnight in Jomsom

Take a jeep ride in off road path leading on the flat Kali Gandaki valley with the stirring views of Nilgiri Himal and surrounding vase landscape. Leaving the Kaligangaki valley, you will be reaching the Jharkot village which offers you the tremendous views of Upper Mustang snowcapped peaks with North West Face of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peak. Later on, reaching the highest point and the desire destination of trek Muktinath temple, take a bath from 108 water sprouts it believes that bathing in holy taps here brings the salvation after death.  Then, visit and explore the holy shrine complex of Muktinath dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Make your way to Jal devi temple where you can get to see the fire lighting from natural gas. Once, you enjoy the religious and tranquil experience of sacred site head to Tatopani for overnight stay.

Early morning take a scenic drive back to Pokhara with the glimpse of the Annapurna ranges. On reaching, be ready for the exploration of the main sites in Pokhara. Start your day from an amazing boating experience in the Phewa Lake, you will visit Tal barahi temple situated in the middle of the lake. After the amazing boating experience, you will head your way to the Peace pagoda saddle in the hilltop of lakeside. The surrounding of the stupa offers majestic views of Himalayas, Lake Side and the whole Pokhara city. Descending down the hill, the day tour then takes you to the cascading Davi\'s fall that has its own story behind its name composition. Visit the Gupteshwor cave in the side of the fall and witness different carvings in the wall of the caves significantly showcasing the figures of Lord Shiva. The international mountain museum holds the history of mountaineering activities throughout the world and exhibit typical Himalayan lifestyle through different mediums. Lastly you will visit Bindabasini temple, the guardian deity of Pokhara before you call it a day. Overnight in Pokhara

The days come to be back in the Kathmandu valley. Bid goodbye to the beautiful city Pokhara and enjoy a scenic ride about 7 hours with the last glimpse of the glimmering Himalayas. Upon reaching, check in hotel and take rest after this journey.
