The best about this tour is that it lasts for two days, giving you the opportunity to also see many other amazing sites in the Wadi Rum Desert. Furthermore, it includes even an overnight stay at our traditional Bedouin camp! This makes the experience much more complete than just doing the mountain hike by itself.
Food will be cooked for you over the fire in the desert. We will locate a picturesque spot amidst sand and rocks, have lunch and relax for a while enjoying the beauitful views all around.
During this tour you will also be shown ancient inscriptions and generally be told about Bedouin life and culture.
In the evening (either at the camp or on the way there depending on time) you will be able to view a magical desert sunset.
At the camp, traditional Bedouin food cooked under the ground awaits you, as part of a big all-you-can-eat dinner buffet. Later, sit around the fire, share conversations, or listen to the music we play and sing on the oud. Maybe there will even be traditional dancing. Gaze aat stars, enjoy the calm atmosphere, before getting a good night's sleep in one of our comfortable private tents, ready for day 2 for yet more spetacular places to be visited!
This is one of the most spectacular hikes in the Wadi Rum desert. It takes about 3h and is suitable for everybody who enjoys climbing and scrambling at an intermediate level without too much experience needed. The hike passes through narrow canyons, you can enjoy beautiful views on the way up, there are parts where you have to use your hand, as well as parts for normal walking in between. It is an adventure not to be missed and certainly an unforgettable experience for everybody. At the top, you will be surprised by the beautiful famous arch awaiting you after your effort of hiking and scrambling up. Due to it being located in the East part of the protected area, you can have views in all directions; to the West and the North you can see inside the magnificent protected area, whereas to the East you can also view outside of it. You will go with an experienced guide, so even the less experienced have nothing to worry about.
We leave the village at around 9.30 am, then go to visit Lawrence Spring, sand dunes, Khazali Canyon, and the Small Rock Arch. Then we head to the Burdah area, where we will have lunch, before embarking on our main goal, climbing up Burdah mountain and its famous arch on its top. Afterwards, we go to Um Frouth Arch, followed by Abu Khashabah Canyon, a narrow sandy canyon, that you can walk through and be picked up by us at the other end. Then, we go to watch the sunset. After a long day, we will now take you back to the village. In case you decide to spend the night with us, we will take you to our Bedouin camp. Here you can enjoy Bedouin food cooked under the ground and watch how we take it out from under the sand. You can sit around the fire in our beautiful new outside sitting area and exchange talking, enjoy the silence of the desert and watch the stars.
After a delicious breakfast buffet with Arabic specialties, you will climb on the jeep, and we go see yet more magnificent places inside the protected area. First, we pass Mushroom Rock, then go to the White Canyon, Burrah Canyon, Umm Ishrin Canyon, then we find a nice place to have lunch and rest for a while. Afterwards we go to Anfeshiyeh inscriptions, then head to the big sand dunes. Now you can decide whether you want to go back to the village (at around 3 pm) or spend another night at our camp (extra 25JD on site, or book directly here as an addon.

Good To Know
We are happky to customize our tours for you. If you have a particular place in mind which you want to visit, let us know.
We prefer an easier hike than going up Burdah mountain. Are there any other options?
Yes. Although the Burdah hike is not too difficult and still doable by almost everyone, if you want a more relaxing and easier hike, we can swap it for Al Hash mountain, which has similar duration, but mostly flat ascent.
What if we cannot arrive in Wadi Rum as early as 9.30am?
No problem, we can start the tour at any time you arrive.
Do we need to bring our own water?
No, in addition to food, we provide cold, bottled water throughout the day, so one thing less to worry about carrying!
Is there an extra charge for sandboarding?
No, sandboarding can be arranged free of charge.
Will there be other tourists doing the same tour with us?
No, it is only you/ your group or family and the tour guide. Other tourists will go separately with a different guide.
Will we meet other tourists at the places we are going to visit?
Depending on the season, yes or no. But if you wish to avoid other people we can adjust our tour for you to include more secluded, but nonetheless very picturesque spots, and we can take you to the more famous spots earlier in the morning when fewer people visit.
Can I also add more activities and tours after adding additional nights?
Of course you can. We are happy to advise you and put together a program for you which exactly sits your needs and pereferences. We can plan over a cup of tea as soon as you arrive.
Can I add different activities like longer hikes, camel rides, or visits to certain places not in the original itinerary?
Yes! In order to get the full of experience and make the most of your time here, we recommend to try a variety of different activities, like camel riding, sand boarding, sleep out in the desert, hike the highest mountain in Jordan etc. Some might require an additional fee.

Unforgettable experience of two days in the desert, sleeping in a tent overnight. We had the honor to be taken by the father of the big family that operates the tours. From the start, we felt like part of the family, with tea, water and excellent food, despite being prepared in the desert. Visiting all the important places, hiking alone through the desert and enjoying the sunset above the overnight camp, everything was top notch.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By Micha Akchoti
I only have amazing things to say about Wild Wadi Rum Tours. Our stay with Salman and his brothers has been by far the highlight of our trip to Jordan. They were always kind, warm, welcoming, helpful and flexible. We had opted for the three days camel tour (for which I would recommend a very thick foam or sponge protection between your legs, cause after a full day you'll get very sore). I would recommend a longer tour as this allows you to go in lesser known parts of Wadi Rum where they'll be much less tourists (if any). The camp is basic but comfortable, you'll have everything you need, with great food. It's also populated by a nice crowd, generally bagpackers, climbers. It allows you to avoid the whole influencer type of crowd you can have in other camps. Overall I would highly recommend Wild Wadi Rum Tours if you want an experience that feels true to the desert, to the bedouin culture. You will definitely never regret it or forget it⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By Toma Izabele Migdol
Undoubtedly the best Wadi Rum tours you will find - Salman and his beautiful family make you instantly feel like home and well taken care of. We went for the two day trip with camel ride and the whole day jeep tour. Local bedouin food was delicious, the camp hidden in a cosy corner of the desert had neat bathrooms and shower, and private tents and living space were traditionally decorated and spacious. The tour itself was well organised and we had plenty of time to enjoy every location in the desert. The family puts a personal touch to every part of the experience (such as sons playing traditional music after the dinner), everyone we met were extremely kind. I wholeheartedly recommend them and will definitely return again.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By Thomas Gordon
Salman Eid and his team did a wonderful job with our tour. We had a freak rain storm that turned into hail. They made the best of it. Tour part was really nice. Started with tea at his home, then with his cousin to see the sites, stopped for lunch at a camp site, then spent the rest of the afternoon seeing Wadi Rum. Definitely a good value and would recommend.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By Its a TT “North Wales Dan” thing
Both myself and my son had the experience of a lifetime with wild wadi rum tours my only regret is we didn't have more time there, can't recommend them enough! We was very well looked after, great food, comfy beds, great showers especially considering we was in the desert! Salman and his family are truly amazing humble people, thank you again for a lovely stay, I will return with more time to spend for definite! P.s if you get a taxi from anywhere to wadi rum village do not let the taxi driver convince you to stay somewhere else...you will regret it, wild wadi rum tours are great hosts! thanks again Salman I will see you again !!
