ITINERARY
After breakfast, we proceed to Tarangire National Park for our game drive. One of the largest national park in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire river which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. Meals: L,D
After breakfast, we proceed to the Central part of Serengeti. This park is well-known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the "big five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffaloes, and Rhinos. Meals: B,L,D
After breakfast, we will set off on a full day game drive in the wilderness following the Great Migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle, which join in the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over six million hooves pounding the open plains. This is just like you imagined Africa to be! Meals: L,B,D
In the morning, we will have another game drive in Serengeti National Park. Come afternoon, we proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Olduvai Gorge museum, a famous archaeological location in East Africa. At Laetoli, located 45 km south of Olduvai gorge, you will find hominin footprints preserved in volcanic rock that dates back 3.6 millions years ago and represent some of the earliest signs of mankind in the world. Meals: B,L,D
We start with an early morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism. Meals: B,L,D
Spend the day with the Hadzabe people, ancient hunter-gatherers who inhabit the land near Lake Eyasi, a gorgeous soda lake that’s part of the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, and witness their unchanged, traditional way of life and harmony with the earth. You will get the opportunity to engage with the Bushmen and learn all about their time-honored hunting techniques, survival skills, food preparation and cultural norms. A veritable step back in time, this is an undeniably authentic cultural journey into rural Tanzania that reveals the untold world of these charismatic people. On the way back you can enjoy the impressions of your safari and the unique visit to the Hadzabe Bushmen and Datoga.
After breakfast, we head to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is dominated by the lake of the same name, which attracts large colonies of waterbirds. Particularly impressive are the pink-colored flamingos, but also many other bird species such as cormorants, pelicans or storks can be observed here. A total of about 400 different bird species live in the park. The park is also famous for its tree climbing lions, which are usually found in the central and open part of the park. During the safari you will also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and many other animal species. In the late afternoon you leave the national park, you will spend the night at a lodge in Lake Eyasi.
Kikuletwa hot springs Today after breakfast we will drive for 2 hours heading to Kikuletwa hot springs on the way you will be welcomed by green vegetation farms and baobab trees, once you arrive at the village you will visit Maasai boma for traditional dances and local lunch. After lunch we will drive you to hot springs for unlimited swimming before back to our vehicles ready to drive back to your hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight
