Tour Introduction

This package treats our clients to a fun-packed trip of exploring the most amazing parts of Ghana. This is enough amount of time to explore and experience the amazing wildlife, nature, adventure and culture of this beautiful country called Ghana. To get a full-blown experience of the beauties of the country, the tour will begin from the Central Region and then we explore and amuse ourselves and end the tour in Accra, the country’s capital. The tour will take as to four(4) regions in Ghana, namely; the Central, Eastern, Volta and Greater Accra Region.

ITINERARY

Upon arrival at the Terminal 3 of Kotoka International Airport, Accra-Ghana, You will be met by our staff and sent to your hotel. Overnight in Accra

After breakfast, you will begin your tour with a visit to the Central Region of Ghana. If the hustle and bustle of Accra mars the traffic free tour you intend to have in Ghana, wait till you leave that behind as you enter a new and calmer region where you will see the rapid transformation. Your first stop will be to explore the Kakum National Park, one of the West Africa surviving tropical forest. There is a canopy walkway which lies on the forest of Kakum and is the most common activity in the park. You will take a hike into the forest with the guidance of an experience park guide in addition to the canopy walkway experience. Depart afterwards to Accra but make a quick stop at the Cape Coast Slave Castle which was built in 1653 by the Swedish and was later taken over by the British. This castle played a significant role in the infamous transatlantic slave trade. Return back to Accra for your overnight

Breakfast will be served and then you will checkout from the hotel to start today’s tour. Your first stop will be to the Aburi Botanical Gardens. The cool mountainous weather and beautiful landscape of this area makes it an interesting destination for tourist who love the cool side of life. Upon arrival at the garden, you will be welcomed by the beautifully lined-up royal palm trees (Roystonea Regia) on both sides of the entrance leading to the garden. After your tour of the garden, you will depart to Shai Hills Game Reserve. This reserve is covered with grassland and low dry forest vegetation. The reserve can boast of newly four hundred(400) plant and animal species including antelopes, bats, birds, baboons, zebra and many more. You will enjoy a hike into the reserve to familiarize yourself with some fauna and flora and also the beautiful rocks climbing. Depart afterwards to Akosombo for your overnight.

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart to Boti Waterfalls. Upon arrival, you will hike to the waterfall. You will also have the opportunity to hike to the Umbrella Rock and the three-headed-palm tree. Depart afterwards back to Akosombo to enjoy a cruise on one of the biggest man-made lakes in the world.  Your cruise will take you to the longest bridge in Ghana. Return to your hotel afterwards to relax at your hotel. Overnight in Hohoe.

After a restful breakfast, you will depart to have your last hike onto the highest mountain in Ghana, Mount Afadjato(885m). The mountain is located at Liati Wote, a village in the Volta Region of Ghana. The hike to the top of this mountain gives you a beautiful view of Ghana and Togo. You will also visit the Tagbo Waterfalls close to Mount Afadjato. Return back to Hohoe for your overnight.

Checkout after breakfast to Accra. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and visit one of the biggest art market in Ghana; Accra Arts Center. After your tour of this market, you will be transferred to the airport to depart home. End of tour.

YELLOW FEVER
All inbound travelers who are at least 9 months old must be vaccinated against yellow fever to get into the country. Get the vaccination and an original certificate of vaccination as proof and travel with it.

CURRENCY
The official currency of the Republic of Ghana is the Cedi. Foreign currency can be exchanged at foreign exchange facilities at major airports, at forex bureaus and at some commercial banks in the country. There are Automated Teller Machines(ATM) available at vantage points where you can redraw cash. Credit Cards mostly accepted by ATMs in Ghana are MasterCard and Visa Card. Some hotels also accept credit card payments.
