ITINERARY
Today you will be picked up at the airport and taken to our office for a pre-departure meeting. Later you will be dropped off at your hotel, where you can relax and prepare to start your safari with a fresh, rested mind. Your overnight will be at the Limpopo hotel and suites
Check out of your hotel and drive via Narok town to Masai Mara National Reserve, home of the Masai tribe. The proud, young Masai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks and spears will inspire you. Masai Mara is a 700 square mile game reserve and is the Africa you know from your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch. There will be time to settle in before your first game drive. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve and return to camp before dark. Your dinner and overnight will be at the Overnight at Giraffe hills Mara camp
Today you may opt to have a full day of uninterrupted game driving or take a hot air balloon ride (not included in the safari price). If you choose the balloon ride, you will take to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure. Soar over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You’ll ascend in the early morning when the winds are calmest. Watch as the professional crew fills the balloon with hot air. Slowly the big, colorful bag begins to bulge and take shape. After your incredible flight, it’s time to come back down to earth for breakfast. You might wonder what all the ordinary people are doing on this perfect African morning! Before leaving, the pilot will present you with your balloon flight certificate, after which you’ll enjoy a game drive en route back to the camp. No flight of the imagination can match this airborne experience! Your dinner and overnight will be at the Overnight at Giraffe hills Mara camp
After an early breakfast you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park in the west. You will ascend the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley, where lush coffee and tea plantations dot the landscape. Your driver-guides will give you a brief overview about coffee and tea farming in Kenya along the way, and you will have a short stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photographs. You will arrive in Lake Nakuru in time for lunch, after which you will set off for a game drive in the park in search of the big five: lions, rhinos, leopards, buffaloes and elephants. Lake Nakuru is also famous for the millions of flamingoes and migrant birds that dot its shores. In fact, Nakuru has over 425 different bird species. You will return to the hotel before dark for dinner and overnight at your hotel.Overnight Buraha Zenoni Hotel and Resort
After breakfast you will depart Nakuru for Jinja, driving across the Malaba border in the process. You will tour the source of the world’s longest river: the Nile. It begins its journey here before crossing through ten African countries and plunging into the Mediterranean Sea. Jinja town is regarded as the adventures capital of East Africa. It is brimming with adventure sports and activities, including white water rafting, bungee jumping, and kayaking
After breakfast you will drive to Kabale, Uganda’s highest town (2000m), witnessing beautiful, lush scenery along the way. We will camp at Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s deepest crater lake (900m). Bunyonyi means “place of the little birds”, so you can expect to view interesting and unique bird life while staying here. Enjoy a beautiful drive over the mountains as we transfer to our base in Kisoro, which sits on the southwestern tip of Uganda. You will have a relaxing evening as we prepare for the trek ahead. This is an excellent place to rest before your gorilla trek,
Today we embark on the experience of a lifetime. Trek through the early morning mist in the Mgahinga National Park , which is home to roughly half of the world's 700 remaining mountain gorillas. The trekking can be demanding and the day long - a water bottle and good walking shoes or boots are highly recommended
Today you will eat breakfast and then take a guided walk to visit locals in the community. You will have the option to visit with the local Batwa people or go canoeing on the lake. Return to camp in time for lunch, after which you will be free to visit the children’s orphanage in the local village
Right after breakfast you will drive to Jinja, stopping for lunch in Kampala. Once in Jinja, you will again explore the source of the Nile, which was discovered by the legendary John Hanning Speak. The Nile is Africa’s longest river, and it flows northwards up the continent through Egypt and into the Mediterranean Sea. You will have a good chance to do water rafting today
After breakfast you will drive to Lake Naivasha, stopping for lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will have ample time to relax in your room or you can option activities. Later you will return to your camp to dine and spend the night
Located along Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley, Crescent Island Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya and is often called Naivasha's “best kept secret”. It is private, secure and patrolled by guides who can accompany anyone who wishes for a guided walk. Surrounded by water, Crescent Island is actually a peninsula and is accessible by boat from the east or west. One can also access it in under two hours from Nairobi on tarmac road. The sanctuary’s shores host abundant birdlife, including huge numbers of pelicans, cormorants and fish-eagles with their haunting cry. There are more animals per acre than any other Kenyan Park. This brings many film companies here
After breakfast we will depart for Arusha via Nairobi. Our journey will take us across the border into Tanzania, and we will arrive in the picturesque town of Arusha in time for lunch. Arusha sits at the foot of rugged Mount Meru and is the gateway to most of Tanzania’s safari areas. The afternoon will be spent at your leisure
After breakfast you will transfer to the famous Serengeti National Park. This park is to Tanzania what the Masai Mara Game Reserve is to Kenya. Covering 14,763 sq km, the Serengeti is dominated by vast, open plains and an abundance of wildlife. A picnic lunch will be provided en route, and the afternoon will be spent game viewing and absorbing the breathtaking scenery
Transfer to the Ngorongoro crater via Olduvai Gorge. Ngorongoro is an impressive 20km wide volcanic crater with 600m walls. The views from the crater rim are breathtaking, and there is an ever-present abundance of wildlife due to the permanent water supply on the crater floor. Olduvai Gorge is famed for the discovery of 3.5 million year-old fossil fragments from an early human civilization. We will enjoy lunch overlooking the crater and the afternoon will be spent at Game drive
After breakfast you will be driven to Arusha for your transfer to Nairobi via Namanga boarder ,Lunch enroute. You will arrive by 1500hrs in Nairobi for the transfer to the international airport. HAVE A WONDERFUL TOUR - SEE YOU ON THE ROAD
