Tour Introduction

This is a combination of wildlife safari, waterfalls and gorilla tracking experiences. Landing in Kigali and departing from Entebbe gives you 2 countries experience.

ITINERARY

Landing to Kigali is the cheapest way for reaching Bwindi. Our driver guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you on a 3-hours car journey via the Gatuna Border to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Proceed to Buhoma for your lunch, followed by a Batwa (Pygmies) community walk in the evening. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at your lodge.

Wake up very early in the morning for your breakfast. Afterwards, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters to meet your park guides for the day. After completing the necessary formalities at the park, we will embark on an unforgettable mountain gorilla tracking expedition. Once you spot them, you will be able to spend an hour watching your long-lost cousin in his natural habitat. Return to your hotel for lunch, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and reach Mweya at midday, a place with a stunningly beautiful view over the Kazinga Channel. You will check in at your accommodation and have lunch. Late in the afternoon (4.00- 7.00pm), we will go on a game drive. You will then enjoy dinner and rest at your lodge. Duration: 5hrs

This day will be spent on a game drive on the plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where thousands of Ugandan kobs, lions, elephants, etc. will pose for the camera and continue to enjoy the wildlife in the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kibale National Park. Early in the morning, we depart with a game drive en route to Kibale National Park. The drive will take about 7hrs, and we will arrive late in the afternoon at the Kibale Forest Camp, where we will fall asleep with the sounds of the tropical rainforest in the background. We are occasionally able to stay at the Chimpanzee Guesthouse, overlooking the Nyabikere Crater Lake. The lake is famous for the frogs and their splendid nocturnal concert. Duration: 7hrs

At 8.00am, we will start with the 4-hour chimp walk. During the walk, you may get to see 10 other primates! The Kibale National Park is also known for its countless colourful butterflies and birds. In the afternoon, we will walk through the Bigodi Swamp (home to a community-based project).

Set of on a 5-hour drive to Murchison Falls, and arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Later that afternoon, take a boat trip downstream to the delta, where the Nile enters Lake Albert. This 5 to 6-hour trip will reveal the beauty of this national park, and especially the colourful delta birds. This is a great opportunity to see the elusive Shoebill Stork! In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and rest. Duration: 5 hrs

The day will be spent viewing game around the park and along the Nile. We will leave early in the morning. If staying at Nile Safari Lodge or Red Chilli Paraa, we will cross the Nile with the ferry at 7.00am. We’ll go on a game drive from 8.00am to 12.00noon, seeing several animals along the way, including lions and giraffes. From 2.00pm to 5.00 pm, we will go on the impressive ‘launch trip’ on the Nile, up to the Falls, giving you a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and many varieties of colourful birds!

We will depart for Entebbe early in the morning, stopping at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for some rhino trekking in Uganda. We will have lunch here before continuing to Entebbe where we will arrive late in the afternoon. We’ll have dinner and we’ll spend the night at Laico Lake Victoria. Time: 8hrs
