10 Days game safari visiting northern Tanzania parks

On your arrival at Kilimanjaro international Airport, you will be met and welcomed by our friendly staff and transferred to Arusha for your Overnight at Zawadi house Lodge (BB)

Your day tour begins from your hotel pickup at the morning, followed by the short drive to nearby Arusha National Park. Often overlooked by visitors to Tanzania, this is nevertheless a special place: your driver-guide will show you the Marvelous and Awesome Ngurdoto Crater and the splendid resident wildlife of different species. Enjoy a calm canoeing safari in Arusha National Park, and experience wildlife watching in a whole new way. Watching the resident wildlife come to the lake to quench their thirst promising a good nature sighting. You can also opt for a walking safari which can turn into an exciting highlight here; it’s a Park which is the only place on Tanzania's Northern Circuit where the acrobatic black and white colobus monkey can easily be seen. Also present here are leopards and hyena, though an elephant sighting would be rare and lion are absent. But there is every high chance to see giraffe and zebra, waterbuck and dik-dik. Enjoy the colorful birdlife with trogon, turaco and flamingo among the many species, while you break for picnic lunch, in this delightful setting. Your driver-guide is dedicated to helping you identify them all. After our time in the park, we return you to your hotel in Arusha town for some rest and overnight.

After your morning Breakfast, drive slowly to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania that covers and area of approximately 2,600 square kilometers. Tarangire is famous for its huge numbers of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing pythons. Lunch at the lodge and afternoon you will go for game drive in the park. After your morning breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. Lake Manyara is a freshwater lake in Tanzania. At certain times of the year, Lake Manyara is home to thousands of flamingos (attracted by the Lake itself), which form a shimmering pink zone around the lake shore. Other birds found here include ostriches, egrets, herons, pelicans and storks. Also seen are African spoonbills, various species of ibises, ducks and the rare pygmy geese. The most noticeable of the landscape within this park are the very impressive baobab trees with their huge trunks. Dinner and Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge (FB)

After breakfast, descend to the crater floor for game viewing. This is world heritage site, the incomparable Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest caldera. Dominated by cliffs standing some 600 meters high presenting a sheer drop down to a wide open space of some 246 square km, and you may see everything from elephant to lion, and if you are lucky, the near extinct black rhino, all amongst large herds of zebra and wildebeest. After your breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park Via Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The park covers 14,763 square kilometers of grassland plains and savannah as well as river trine forest and woodlands. The park lies in the north of the country, bordered to the north by the national Tanzania and Kenya border where it is continuous with the Masai Mara National Reserve. Full day game viewing in the Serengeti endless plains. Serengeti is perhaps most well-known for the annual migration that takes place across the great Savannah plains. This is a phenomenal sight: thousands upon thousands of animals, particularly wildebeests, as far as the eye can see. During the rainy season (from November to May), the wildebeests, whose population has been estimated at around 1’500’000, are found in the eastern section of the Serengeti and also the Masai Mara in Kenya to the north. When the dry season begins at the end of June, the annual migration commences as the animals move in search of food pasture. The Serengeti is also famous for cheetahs, leopards and lions, some of which migrate with the wildebeests while others remain in the central plain.
