ITINERARY

DAY 01: AIRPORT / SIGIRIYA On arrival you will be met by our representative and Transfer to your hotel from Airport to Sigiriya, Dinner and Overnight stay at Sigiriya / Dambulla / Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa

DAY 02: SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / POLONNARUWA After Breakfast at hotel and proceed to Sigiriya rock fortress that is world heritage site, constructed by King Kashyapa (477¬495 AD) in the 5th century. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 meters from the cleanse forest. The rock was the innermost hold of the 70 hectare equipped town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a protected pocket of the rock approached by a curved stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster and is named the Eight Wonder of the world. Dinner and Overnight stay at Sigiriya /Dambulla / Polonnaruwa

DAY 03: SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY Breakfast at Hotel proceed to Dambulla rock caves, temple was constructed by King Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of wall and ceilings painted is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters and transfer from Dambulla to Matale. Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is well known for. Here, clients can see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness a Cookery show. Transfer from Matale to Kandy. Dinner and Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 04: KANDY / PINNAWALA / PERADENIYA / KANDY Breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see abandoned baby elephants being fed, bathed and trained. Visit the orphanage on time to witness the baby elephants bottle fed with milk at 9.15am. Lunch at Pinnawala over looking the elephant bath in the river and continue to Peradeniya Botanical garden, Peradeniya Garden was built as a pleasure by a Sinhala king and was extended by the British. It is a 147 Acres and you will see many varieties of plants, wonderful trees, and flowers, and then visit Kandy city and Gem Museum & Lapidary. Kandy was last capital of the Sri Lankan king and is a world heritage site. Drive around the Kandy Lake. The Kandy Lake was constructed by Sri Wickerema Rajasingha in 1798. In the evening, see the cultural dance performance and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic while participating in the evening ritual. Dinner and Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 05: KANDY / NUWARELIYA Breakfast at your hotel and leave from Kandy to Nuwareliya; Sri Lanka’s Premier hill tea growing region and world famous for the production of high-quality tea. En-route, visit tea plantation and tea factory, where the best tea in the world is being produced. Here you could observe the entire process of manufacturing tea and taste a cup of fresh tea in the factory. Visit the beautiful Ramboda Waterfall and continue to Nuwareliya and enjoy the mountain sight and the refreshing climate. Nuwareliya is also the heart of country’s tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Piduruthalagala (8280 ft) is also located here in Nuwareliya along with one of the best golf courses in Asia. Dinner and Overnight stay at Nuwareliya.

DAY 06: NUWARAELIYA / KITHULGALA / BENTOTA / HIKKADUWA Breakfast at your hotel, and transfer to Bentota via Kithulgala. This beautiful location near the picturesque Kelani River at Kithulgala is still a much visited site, especially for films. Kithulgala is famous for white water rafting and its mountain terrain and forest landscape. We recommend a Sri Lankan food (Lunch) near the Kelani River at plantation hotel. After lunch continue to Bentota through rice field and through villages. Dinner and Overnight stay at Bentota / Beruwala.

DAY 07: BENTOTA / BERUWELA / HIKKADUWA Breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Balapitiya to river safari for 1 hour (64 island) including ancient temple & Cinnamon Island. En-route, visit turtle hatchery, after noon enjoy your own private beach and relax: Dinner and Overnight stay at Bentota / Beruwala / Hikkaduwa

DAY 08: BENTOTA Relax and enjoy your own your private beach. Dinner and Overnight stay at Bentota / Beruwala / Hikkaduwa

DAY 09: BENTOTA / BERUWALA / COLOMBO Breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Colombo. We provide a city tour of Colombo including Hindu Buddhist temples, residential where you find the stately homes of the rich, Pettah Bazaar and Colombo Fort area, 100 years Old clock tower, and several British Build colonial buildings, Bandaranaiyake International conference hall (BMICH). Dinner and Overnight stay at Colombo.

DAY 10: AIRPORT Departure and wish you a safe pleasant flight home.
