7 Day Cultural Tour

DAY 01: AIRPORT / NEGOMBO /COLOMBO Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and be transferred to your hotel in Sigiriya. Dinner and Over night stay at Sigiriya / Dambulla / Polonnaruwa

DAY 02: SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / POLONNARUWA After Breakfast at hotel, proceed to Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site, constructed by King Kashyapa (477¬495 AD) in the 5th century. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the cleanse forest. The rock was the innermost hold of the 70 hectare equipped town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world-renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a protected pocket of the rock approached by a curved stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster and is named the Eight Wonder of the world. Dinner and Overnight stay at Sigiriya /Dambulla / Polonnaruwa.

DAY 03: SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY Breakfast at hotel and proceed to Dambulla Rock Cave Temple which was constructed by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s caves temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. metres of wall and ceilings painted is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 meters and Transfer from Dambulla to Matale. Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is well known for. Here, clients can see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness a Cookery show. Transfer from Matale to Kandy. Dinner and Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 04: KANDY / PINNAWALA / PERADENIYA / KANDY Breakfast at your hotel and proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see abandoned baby elephants being fed, bathed and trained. Visit the orphanage on time to witness the baby elephants being bottle fed with milk at 9.15am. Lunch at Pinnawala, over looking an elephant bath in the river and continue to Peradeniya Botanical garden. Peradeniya Garden was built as a pleasure by a Sinhala king and was extended by the British, it is 147 Acres in size and you will see many varieties of plants, wonderful trees, and flowers, and visit Kandy city, and visit Gem Museum & Lapidary, Kandy was last capital of the Sri Lankan king and world heritage site. Drive around the Kandy Lake. The Kandy Lake was constructed by the Sri Wickerema Rajasingha in 1798. In the Evening see the Cultural dance performance, and visit Tooth relic temple while participating in the evening ritual. Dinner and Over night stay at Kandy.

DAY 05: KANDY / NUWARELIYA Breakfast at your hotel, Leave from Kandy to Nuwareliya, Sri Lanka’s Premier hill tea growing region and world famous for the production of high quality tea. En-route visiting tea plantation and tea factory. Where the best tea in the world is being product. Here you could observe all about process of manufacturing tea, and taste a cup of fresh tea in the factory. Visit the beautiful Ramboda Waterfall and continue to Nuwareliya while enjoying the mountain sight and refreshing climate. Nuwareliya is also the heart of country’s tea. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Piduruthalagala (8280 ft.) is located here in Nuwareliya along with one of the best golf courses in Asia. Dinner and Over night stay at Ramboda / Nuwareliya.

DAY 06: NUWARAELIYA / KITHULGALA / BENTOTA Breakfast at your hotel and transfer to Bentota via Kithulgala. This beautiful location near the picturesque Kelani river at Kithulgala is still a much visited site especially for films. Kithulgala is also famous for white water rafting and mountain terrain and the forest landscape. We recommend a Sri Lankan food (Lunch) near the Kelani River at plantation hotel. After lunch continue to Bentota through rice field and through villages. Dinner and Overnight stay at Bentota / Beruwala. / Hikkaduwa

DAY 07: BENTOTA / COLOMBO / AIRPORT After breakfast proceed to Madu river. Enjoy a 1 hour boat trip ( 64 island ) including Cinnamon Island, and visit turtle hatchery. After visiting turtle hatchery, continue to Colombo. Visit Colombo city including major sights, fort and Pettah area, and continue to Colombo international airport for the flight home and wish you a safe pleasant flight home.
