5 Day Cultural Tour

DAY 01: AIRPORT / SIGIRIYA On arrival you will be met by our representative at Bandaranaiyake International airport and transfer to your hotel from Airport to Sigiriya. En route visit Dambulla Caves. Dambulla rock temple was constructed by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. metres of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. It contains over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock and spanning 14 metres. Overnight stay at Sigiriya /Dambulla / Kandalama.

DAY 02: SIGIRIYA / MATALE / KANDY After breakfast at a Hotel in Sigiriya, climb Sigiriya rock fortress that is a world heritage site, constructed by King Kashyapa (477¬495 AD) in the 5th century. The ‘Lion Rock’ is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 200 metres from the cleanse forest. The rock was the innermost behold of the 70 hectare equipped town. A moat, rampart, and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the rock. Visit the world¬ renowned frescoes of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya, which are in a protected pocket of the rock approached by a curved stairways. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster. And continue to Kandy, Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name “Kandy” conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. En-route visiting spice Garden, visit tooth relic temple and participate evening ritual, Overnight stay at Kandy.

DAY 03: KANDY / NUWARAELIYA Breakfast at your hotel, Leave from Kandy to Nuwareliya Sri Lanka’s Premier hill tea growing region and world famous for the production of high-quality tea. En-route visiting tea plantation and tea factory. Where the best tea in the world is being product. Here you could observe all about process of manufacturing tea and taste a cup of fresh tea in the factory. Visit beautiful Ramboda waterfalls and continue to Nuwareliya. Refreshing mountain, and climate. Nuwareliya also the heart of tea country. Sri Lanka’s highest mountain Piduruthalagala (8280 ft.) is located here in Nuwareliya, this is also one of the best golf courses in Asia. Dinner and Overnight stay at Nuwareliya.

DAY 04: NUWARAELIYA / COLOMBO After Breakfast Proceed to Colombo. We provide a city tour of Colombo including Hindu Buddhist temples, residential where you find the stately homes of the rich, Pettah Bazaar and Colombo fort area, 100 years Old clock tower, and several British Build colonial Building, and Bandaranayake International Conference Hall (BMICH). Dinner and Overnight stay at Colombo.

DAY 05: COLOMBO / AIRPORT After Breakfast Proceed to Bandaranaiyake International airport for departure and wish you a safe pleasant flight home.
